At this very moment, Eilat is undergoing an incredible Jewish revival:
• A Hesder Yeshiva with 154 students
• A Midrasha for Jewish education. Girls doing their National Service teach Jewish subjects in Eilat's schools, to some 3,000 students each week
• A girls’ religious high school with 80 students
• A new boys’ yeshiva high school with 60 students
• Three religious elementary schools (under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, Shas, and Habad) with over 500 students
• Afternoon classes (Talmud Torah) for children
• Dozens of kosher and kosher le-mehadrin restaurants
• Over twenty synagogues, each offering classes taught by the Yeshiva's rabbis to all of Eilat's residents
This revolution is taking place as a result of the efforts of many fine people who have a remarkable dedication to the Jewish people.

Ayelet Hashahar Yeshiva - A Hesder Yeshiva with a Mission!
At the heart of all this activity, and the source of its strength and spirit, is the Ayelet Hashahar Yeshiva. Established in 1997, Ayelet Hashahar Yeshiva has become one of the most sought after yeshivot in Israel. It is headed by Rabbi Yossi Rodriguez and its faculty consists of highly qualified young rabbis whose dedication to a Torah way of life is an inspiration to the entire city.

The yeshiva has 36 new students enrolled this year, making a total of 154 students, some of whom are currently in the midst of their army service and some of whom are learning in the yeshiva.!.
This year as well, thank G-d, the Yeshiva continues to gather momentum.


- There are now 25 avrechim learning in the Yeshiva.
- The Bet Midrash expansion is completed.
- We have produced two booklets for the Institute for Torah Writing – "Umidbarchah Naveh" in memory of Navah Applebaum hy"d.
- We have established a program for preparing Eilat pupils for their Bar Mitzvahs.
- Torah learning and spiritual upliftment gatherings for Eilat's inhabitants are conducted under the auspices of the Yeshiva.
- Some twenty of the Yeshiva's students are doing their military service, many in elite army units in the air force, the navy, the paratroopers and elsewhere. Many have received outstanding soldier awards.

And most important of all, the Yeshiva is continuing to produce talmidei chachamim dedicated to Torah learning and devoted to the Jewish people.
